Review | LUSH Creamy Candy Bubble Bar

I ventured into LUSH for the first time recently. I have always been a nervous of going into LUSH as I don't like feeling pressured into buying anything or have awkward conversations with the sales assistants. My first shop in LUSH was an interesting one! I was in the shop for about 45 minutes whilst the man showed me pretty much everthing LUSH has for sale. I must say my hand felt very soft and smelt lovely when I left.

I picked up the Space Girl Ballistic and the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar. I have been lusting after a Bubble Bar slice for quite a while now and this one was one of the cheapest so I decided it was best to start with this one.
A sweet creamy candy-floss pink bath that’s like a hug in a soft fluffy towel. This one is a girly night in. Makes you want to put on your cutest jammies, bounce on the bed and have a pillow fight. For those who know that youth and innocent glee are things never to be left behind.

It looks very cute and girly, plus is smells delicious. It reminds me of Hubba Bubba gum with a very sweet smell, it may be sickly for some but I really like it.  It has a strong vanilla smell, as it contains vanilla pods! It's ingredients include cocoa butter, almond oil and solid bath oil to soften skin and moisturise. The little flower is a cute addition to, but this broke in the bath and did not float about like I expected it too.

I think I expected too much from this Bubble Bar to be honest, I broke it in half so I could get two uses out of it, you would obviously get a very bubbly bath with using the whole thing. To use the Bubble Bar you have to crumble it under running water. I was not amazed by the amount of bubbles, there was a lot but I love a bath with lots of bubbles. The bath water did not turn pale pink as I heard it would, but the bath had a lovely scent that lasted for the whole time I was in it. The bubbles lasted about twenty minutes.

I would buy this again as I love the smell and it did linger on my skin for the rest of the day, plus my bathroom smelt lovely for a while too! However I would have loved it to be more bubbly, and I will try other Bubble Bars to see if I am doing it wrong (which I probably am).
LUSH Creamy Candy Bubble Bar retails at £2.50 and you can probably get only two baths out of it.
Can you recommend any of the LUSH Bubble Bars?

  2. Oh I loveeee lush! Can't believe you're just trying it, but you are right, the sales people there are quite pushy, not annoying pushy but they are quite passionate about what they sell.

That bubble bar sounds quite yummy, I might give it a try sometime. I think it will be a nice way to relax.

I've previously bought the vanillary gorilla perfume and Latte lip gloss with bronzer in it, but I'll be trying the lip gloss for the first time tonight! Will let you know how it goes :)

  3. The one thing I love about this bubble bar is the scent, it's divine! I much prefer their bubble bars to their bath bombs - the comforter is my favourite (since it lasts ages compared to the others!) xx

  4. I've used 'The Comforter' in the past which is the big pink swirly one. I've just looked and it's quite pricey (£4.25) but I was given it with a gift set. I really liked it and I think it did tint the bath water from what I remember!
