How to get the Victoria's Secret Angel Look!

Hello Beauties!

Rupinder here from Rouge Rose Petale .. doing a guest post for the lovely Ellie whilst she settles in at uni :)!
Today I was inspired by my favourite Victorias Secret angel, the gorgeous Adriana Lima. I find she sticks to a signature make up look a lot of the time and its just so beautiful and versatile, so I thought I'd show you my budget interpretation - being a student and all.. I'm unfortunately a Chanel girl on a Primark budget.

So here is the picture that inspired me:

1. Start out with a clean face and moisturise well, followed by your favourite primer - I used MUA's professional primer and E45 moisturiser.

2. Buff your foundation in well across the face and take it a little down the neck - Im using a real techniques buffing brush & For foundation I'm using Maybelline's dream satin liquid for a flawless, airbrushed effect.

3. Conceal any blemishes using a concealer thats the right colour for you, and also cover any dark under eye circles you may have, with a concealer a few shades lighter than your skin tone. Use this in a upside down triangle shape to lift and brighten the eye. - Im using Maybelline's cover stick for my under eyes & Collection 2000's lasting perfection concealer for blemishes with a Real Techniques Foundation Brush.

4. Set with a light dusting of translucent powder. Be careful to not go over the top, you want to look dewy and glowing. - I'm using natural collections translucent loose powder with a round fluffy brush.

5. Next step is to fill in your brows, Adriana only has a slight arch so keep it subtle if you want the same, I'm just going with the natural shape of mine. - I'm using Rimmels eyeliner pencil in dark brown.

6. Adriana adores bronzed, glowing skin so contour the hollows of your cheeks, take the product up to the temples and dust very lightly over the forehead and on the chin. I'm using No7's Starfish bronzer which also features a highlight with my Real Techniques Contour Brush.

Optional Tip - I'm taking the bronzer down the sides of the nose and slightly around the nostril to give the illusion of a smaller and more defined nose (Mine is my biggest insecurity so I always do this).

7. Using a pink shimmery blush, I apply this to the cheekbone and drag some product to the apples for a glow. Opt for something with a gold shimmer to emphasise that bronzed, summery tan feel. I'm using MUA's blush in Shade 5.

8. Apply a little of the highlight on the other side of the starfish bronzer just above the blush, along the bridge of the nose and prime the eyes ready for the shadow. I'm using MUA's primer again to prepare my lids.

9. Taking a deep brown, shimmer colour I brush it lightly through my crease and create a outer V. Using a fluffier brush, I take the same colour and apply it more heavily in the middle of the eye. Then take a gold shimmer and apply to the inner third of the eye followed by a good blend! I'm using MUA's Heaven & Earth palette (Brushes are shown in picture).

10. Using a shimmery black colour. Lightly apply this over the outer v shape you created with the brown for a subtle smokey eye. Blend well, but make sure you can see a hint of that rich brown still. I'm using W7s smokey eyes palette with brush featured in photo.

11. Take a pearly white, highlight under the brow and the tearduct area of the eye. Then, where we put the gold shimmer and the brown, put them in the exact same place on the lower lash line and blend. I'm using Barry M's pearly white dazzle dust.

12. Line the waterline with a black eyeliner and take this on the upper lid and blend out slightly so its not so harsh. - I'm using collection 2000's black rollerball eyeliner.

13. Curl you lashes and add a great lashing of mascara. If you want to see how I make my real lashes look like falsies a post on my blog will soon be up. You can add some lashes here if you want as well - I'm using Maybelline's Falsies and Fibre lash extension mascaras.

14. Taking a soft pink/nude lipstick sweep across the lips and blot with a piece of tissue (Im going for a slightly more pungent pink than Adriana). Apply a touch of gloss in the middle of the lips for that light reflecting kick. I'm using MUA's lipstick (the number has smudged off :( but begins with 1 if that helps?!) and Barry M's clear gloss.

AND VOILA! :)

If you want to take this to the next level, go ahead and add some gorgeous lashes and blue contacts.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I didn't ramble on too much!

Hugs & kisses to Ellie and YOU for reading!!
