Rose Gold Obsessions

Hi lovelies,

I have developed a new obsession with rose gold. Obviously I am too poor for real rose gold, so my collection contains cheap bargains, that are mainly from River Island! I lust after anything with the coppery rose tones to it, with the ultimate rose gold desire being a Michael Kors watch. Rose gold is quite feminine due to the hints of soft pink, but can easily be "toughened up" when used for studded detail.

I picked up these Topshopshorts recently in the sale. I loved them in the summer when I first saw them but there was no way I was paying £35 for them. I got them for £14(ish) with student discount. They are very short so I will probably only ever wear them with tights.
The grey vest top is from River Island and cost £14, it is fairly loose fitting with slightly dropped arm hole bits(what?). I love both of these pieces and have been basically living in them recently,

These earrings by River Island are a bargain because I bought them from the ASOS sale for £5, my favourites are the cross pair and rose gold gems. I love the coppery and rose gold tones and will wear all of them day to day.

You probably know how  much I love peace signs if you have been reading my blog for a while. These earrings are right up my street. I think they are really cute and a bargain for £1.50.

The last of my mini collection is this cross ring, I like how it sits straight on the finger instead of sideways like other cross rings I have.

Do you love rose gold as much as me? I really want to get my hands on a few beauty items, especially the Sleek Rose Gold Blush! Do you know any other products or fashion items I should check out?

p.s I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who follows my blog as I just passed 400 followers and am over the moon, thank you so much!

Review | Superdrug Sugar & Spice Self-Heating Mask

Hi lovelies,

I am trying to sort myself out and get a bit back on track at the moment, meaning I have a lot of excuses for pampering myself! I had a long soak in the bath planned, candles, magazines and all the beauty products involved! I popped into Superdrug to pick up a face mask and was surprised about the huge amount of masks they had to chose from.

I love using face masks and tend to use peel off ones as I find it really fun to peel it off my face (weird right?). I bought the Sugar and Spice Self Heating Mask which claims to brighten and soften the skin, something that I really need right now. It is a clay mask with caramel and cinnamon. Quite a festive fragrance, it reminds me of caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks!

I have never used a self heating face mask before so was really interested to give it a go. The mask claims to open up pores and cleanse away all the dirt and nastiness that clogs them up. The Mediterranean Clay Caramel is said to brighten up your skin and leave it smooth.

The mask is quite thick in formula and looks exactly like caramel, it smells gorgeous too!You have to apply warm water to your face and then massage it in to your skin. Because the mask is so thick you really do not need a lot, so could easily get a few uses out of one packet. This gives a really comforting warm feeling when you apply the mask, it tingles and feels lovely on your skin. It stayed warm for the 20 minutes I left it on and it did not make my face feel extremely tight or start cracking, which I do not like from clay masks. It stayed runny and was quite easy to wash off with water. My face felt so soft and moisturised that for 99p I cannot complain.

I am definitely going to work my way through the Superdrug range of face masks, they have so many different ones to try that all target different problems and skin types!
Have you tried any of the Superdrug face masks?

Event | Breaking Dawn Part 2 Premiere!

Some of you may have been aware of my desperate attempt to win tickets to the Breaking Dawn Part 2 London Premiere that happened last night in Leicester Square, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell my determination paid off and I was lucky enough to win tickets to walk down the red carpet and watch the film!

This was my face for the whole of yesterday, when I found out I won until when I got there. Complete shock and excitement that something like that had happened after the awful few weeks I have had.

I went to the premiere with won of my best friends from work Courtney, who is not as into the Twilight films as me but I knew she would love the experience and the film too! When we arrived we walked around for a while and soaked up the atmosphere which was completely electric. Thousands of people were there, and it was so loud with all the fans screaming for the few cast members that were there. Honestly the atmosphere was incredible and the fans (me included) were so excited.

I had a meltdown when I spotted them all, when we started walking down the red carpet Kristen Stewart was a few feet away being interviewed. I froze in shock before some mean security person shoved me along the carpet. In all honesty the people working on the red carpet were horrid, to people walking it and behind the barriers. Security barely gave anyone a chance to get a picture of anything.

I have more pictures on my camera, but I left the lead in my Uni room so will add them when I go back! I was so close to Taylor Lautner it should have been illegal, unfortunately Robert Pattinson did not whisk me off to get married but he looked incredible and I melted when I saw him.

I met a few other minor celebrity type people, The Saturdays were lovely and Mollie stopped and had her picture taken with us (well its her and half mine and my friends faces!). I spoke to Jamie Campbell Bower who is really nice and plays Caius in the film. Myanna Burning who plays Tanya was there, she is one of my favourite actresses and I loved her in Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2! A couple of other actors new to the film were also there. The X Factor finalists were there and I got a few pictures with some of the members of Union J. I also had a really random conversation with Sid Owen (Ricky from Eastenders). A few TOWIE people were there, along with Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk and a couple of Olympians.

One of my favourite parts of the night was when I spotted Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman in the cinema whilst we all watched the film, and they ended up being sat next to me! They are even lovelier in real life and Tanya is even more gorgeous. I was a bit shocked to see them to be honest after watching all their Youtube videos and especially since Tanya's blog was one of the few that made me want to start my own!

The film is amazing. If you have read the books or loved the saga you will in noway being disappointed. Yes the ending is different and there is a shock like all the cast have said. Obviously I won't give anything away but my jaw hit the floor. It is truly the best film from the series and I shed a few tears at the end knowing it was the last one and how beautifully it was put together.

I admit I am a huge Twilight fan, and even more of a Robert Pattinson fan so I was so ecstatic to have been able to go last night. I had a brilliant night and cannot wait to go and see the film again on Saturday.

Are you a Twilight fan? Are you going to see Breaking Dawn Part 2?

p.s If you do see the film (which you all should) make sure you stay til after the credits as there is apparently something special!

Review | Real Techniques Blush Brush

Hi lovelies,

I have an obsession with the Real Techniques brush collection. I do not even remember how I used to apply my make up without using the brushes created by Sam Chapman, a make up blogging genius. I purchased the Core Collection a while ago now and use the brushes every day. They are such great quality that it has completely changed my opinion of make up brushes.

I needed a new big fluffy brush for applying bronzer when I am not contouring, as I am so pale I need to add warmth to my face! I did not even have to think about which brand I would purchase from and headed straight to Boots when they were doing 3 for 2.

The Blush Brush is hand-cut to contour and define cheeks for flawlessly blended, high definition results. Look pixel perfect even in harsh light, with ultra plush taklon bristles.

The Blush Brush is gorgeous, I don't know if it is just me but looking at it makes me happy. The metallic pink handle is lovely and feminine. It looks great with the rest of my brushes. Plus the handle is weighted so it can stand up right but at the same time it is very light and easy to use. The quality of this brush is amazing. The bristles are so soft like you would not believe. The head of the brush is rounded, which is what I wanted as I find them easier to work with than slanted brushes. It picks up product really well and washes perfectly, with the bristles staying really soft and the brush shape the same.

Before I used to think that brush quality does not matter and as long as you have a few you will be fine. Oh how wrong I was, paying a little bit more for something of a much better quality is really worth it!

The Real Techniques Blush Brush costs £9.99 and is available from Boots.
Have you tried any brushes from the collection?

Festive Dresses Under £100!

Hi lovelies,

As scary as it is to say, Christmas is just around the corner. Shop displays are festive themed, lights are being switched on and the adverts have been playing for ages. We have been through the excitement of Halloween and Bonfire Night so now we have to start getting prepared for the festive season.

One of my favourite things about this time of year is that you have an excuse to buy yourself a brand new party dress. There are so many different styles out there this year so I have created a collection of some of my most lusted after dresses that match some of the key trends for this Christmas. Plus they are all under £100 too, so really there is no excuse not to pick your favourite.
I have picked five trends that I love and found three dresses to go with each one!

Lace

Lace dresses are a fashion staple in my opinion! They are always in fashion and are available in so many styles and colours that there is something for everyone.

I love the structured paneling on the Jane Normal dress, it is classic and modern at the same time. You could easily make it more festive by adding some heels and sparkly jewellery. The Oasis Burgundy dress is my favourite of the three simply because I am in love with the colour. It is effortlessly girly but with a hint of gothic at the same time. The electric blue of the Mango dress would definitely get you noticed at your Christmas party, I love the sleeves too!

Embellished

Embellished dresses are great for added a small amount of sparkle to a dress that is usually simple in style. Embellishment is perfect for the festive season because everyone should have a bit of sparkle going on!

I love the chiffon layering on the tfnc blue dress, plus the embellished waist would help to pull you in, cover the stomach and lengthen your legs! Little Mistress have two great dresses with embellishment. The black prom dress is really cute and fun, whilst the burgundy dress is elegant and more formal.

Peplum

Peplum is a trend that I think I will always love. It is so easy to wear and flattering on almost all body shapes. It hides any lumps or bumps, whilst highlighting the waist, great if you are curvy or need help emphasising it!

I am in love with this Little Mistress Peplum, I think it is stunning and perfect for the party season as it has the added sparkle! The colour blocking on the top half of the dress would also help to create an illusion of a slimmer figure. The red of the Lipsy Peplum dress is perfect for the festive season, the colour is very Christmassy and makes a nice change from a usual LBD. I love the scalloping on the peplum too! True Decadence have created a gorgeous Peplum with a slight mesh detail, perfect for partying.

Sparkly

Sparkly dresses are perfect for Christmas, it's probably one of the only times of the year you can be head to toe in sparkle and glitter and not look over the top!

The Vila Paliette dress looks like a silver disco ball and would catch the light, making you sparkle away all night. It is loose fitting too, perfect for when you go into post food coma. I love the John Zack backless dress. It is a great festive colour and very feminine with the cut out back detail. The tfnc sequin dress is amazing! The colour is gorgeous and the style is very flattering, I would love to own this one!

LBD

Oasis Scuba Bandeau Dress £38

You can never go wrong with a Little Black Dress. It is the definition of a classic that every woman should own. I myself have quite a few variations but am always on the hunt for a few more.

If you have been following my blog for a while now, you will know that I am a huge fan of the studded trend.  I have collected quite a few things with studs on and would love to add this dress by AX Paris to my collection. It is not the most festive, but it is a classic style LBD that has been brought up to trend by studding the shoulders. The Cutie Pearl Collar Dress is more girly, with the collar making it very elegant and perfect for a Christmas party. I love the Oasis Bandeau dress as is a complete classic version of the LBD that you could easily dress up with sparkles for a festive party look.

I hope you like thedresses I have picked and aren't trying too hard not to head straight to theHouse Of Fraser website to start buying lots of them, trust me I am struggling.Have you fallen in love with any of the dresses like I have? What's yourfavourite look for Christmas?
