iWhite Instant Teeth Whitening Kit £29.95*

Teeth whitening is a huge part of the beauty industry, with so many products claiming to whiten teeth in short periods of time and various other claims it can be really confusing to find a product that might work. I haven't tried many teeth whitening products, although I'd love to have whiter teeth I find it hard to believe that any of the products from the high street would actually make a significant difference, especially considering I eat and drink most of the things that don't keep teeth super sparkly white like fizzy drinks and junk food!

In the iWhite Instant Teeth Whitening Kit you get ten prefilled trays of whitening gel, enough for five applications of the product. You apply each tray (one top and one bottom) to the teeth for 20 minutes. It is a simple idea with trays that are one size made to fit all. The trays are like gum shields with the whitening product inside that you throw away once you have used them. The trays are a good idea as it meant I didn't have to do anything expect pop them straight on to clean teeth, however I did find the whitening gel didn't always cover my teeth properly. I found it quite difficult to keep the trays and product on my teeth, I ended up drooling a lot of it out of my mouth as the tray were a bit too big for me (sorry for that lovely mental image), meaning a lot of product was wasted and didn't get the chance to work on my teeth properly.

I used the iWhite Instant Teeth Whitening over two weeks. The formula contains high levels of calcium to strengthen teeth and is hydrogen-peroxide free meaning they should be suitable for sensitive teeth. iWhite didn't make my teeth sensitive but I also wouldn't say it left them feeling any stronger. I think if the trays fitted my teeth better and I didn't dribble out half the product then I might have seen better results but I didn't notice a huge difference in the colour of my teeth. My teeth were about 1 or 2 shades lighter but not near the 8 shades that the box claims, if I'd used the trays consecutively over 5 days and cut out all the bad things in my diet I think I would have seen more noticeable results.

iWhite costs £29.95 but is currently reduced here in Boots.
Have you tried any teeth whitening products?

  3. I have quite good teeth which I am really grateful for but what a shame it didn't whiten as much as it said it would! But then again that usually is the case with product sales! My mom tried some whitening strips that you stick on and leave a kind of gel on your teeth and she said they were really effective!

  6. I've used baking soda (bicarbonate of soda here in the UK) but it didn't really work, at the moment I'm using an American toothpaste called 'Close Up' which I bought on holiday which my Mum swears by, I've been using it for about a week and I think they're brighter but not white, if you live in the USA try it out it was like 99 cents from a supermarket. When I started using it I noticed an instant difference but now I don't think it's making a huge different, my Mum said it takes a while to get them white. Sorry for the ramble, btw I'm from the UK if it seemed like I'm from the US lol.
