MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger £15
Lady Danger had been on my wishlist for a while, although my MAC lipstick wishlist has stopped growing as their prices keep going up.. Every time I go to purchase one, which is rare to be honest, the price has risen by about 50p and it's become much harder to justify spending £15 on a lipstick.
Not much needs to be said for the packaging, I think MAC's lipstick casing is iconic and makes me happy. I'm a bit to satisfied by the 'clicking noise' when you snap the lid shut too, just me? Lady Danger is a matte formula and a bit of a cult shade, it's well loved by lots of celebs. Described by MAC as a vivid bright coral red, which I agree with but it's definitely more orange toned than coral and a really different shade of red than Ruby Woo. Lady Danger has quickly become my go to red. It's the perfect mix of red and orange in my opinion, it's very pigmented and opaque. It's definitely a bold shade and will get you noticed, but if you love a bright lip then this is the most wearable red that I have.
The matte formula means you should exfoliate lips before applying and use a good balm underneath. It's definitely not as drying as Ruby Woo, it's quite creamy but leaves a soft matte finish that doesn't cling to dry patches if you prep lips before hand. It's quite long lasting, about five hours before fading to a stain, it lasts well through all the stuff that tends to make lipstick vanish like eating and drinking etc. I really do love the shade, it makes my teeth look whiter and I think it goes well with my super pale skin. It's also got that super yummy MAC lipstick smell!
Overall I really am obsessed with it, it's such a beautiful lipstick, but please MAC stop putting your prices up!
