Review | Umberto Giannini Backcomb In A Bottle & #7Days7Ways

I was rececntly challenged by the team at Umberto Giannini to take part in their #7days7ways campaign. I am awful at styling my hair, if I am making an effort I will probably curl it, that's as good as it gets! Umberto Giannini have challenged bloggers to use their Glam Hair range of products to recreate one of the seven looks you can see here. I think the campaign is brilliant as it shows how many fun looks can be created with their range of products, it's given me a bit of inspiration to be a different with my hair!

I decided the look I might have a chance of recreating was 'Messy Boho' that you can see modeled by the gorgeous brand ambassador Tali Lennox. To achieve this look (or my version) I washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo and conditioner to remove product build up. I usually let my hair dry naturally as it's damaged, but this does nothing to help my lack of volume, so I tipped my head upside down and used a cool heat setting to blow dry. I set my parting quite far on one side and used the Umberto Giannini Backcomb In a Bottle*, an award winning and best selling product. It's brilliant as it saves your hair from the damage backcombing can cause. I spritzed this into my roots, massaged it in and my hair had instant volume. I pulled across a section of hair and pinned it back to finish.

It was such a quick and easy style to do and I really like the way it looks. I'm really impressed with the Backcomb In A Bottle, it gave my hair a lot of texture and lift at the roots, which is hard to do as my hair is very flat and always drops very quickly. If I wanted really big hair it would be really easy to achieve by using the product and gently teasing my hair to give even more volume.

What do you think of my Messy Boho look? I have a few more products from the Glam Hair range to try so look forward to those reviews, and I might try to recreate another one of the more complicated looks!
You can purchase the Umberto Giannini Glam Hair range here.

  3. Your hair looks lovely! I actually bought this product a while ago but had no clue how to use it (such a hair/beauty novice!) so gave it to a friend. Think I might have to repurchase now, as I backcomb my hair a lot and it's not doing it any good at all xxx
