Review | Every Hotel Piccadilly

I was recently lucky enough to be invited to stay at the new Every Hotel Piccadilly, the first of a new chain of 4* premium hotels to launch. Every Hotels are taking the standard hotel rule book and ripping it up, giving customers everything you could want or need.
Our mission? Simple. We want your stay with us to be connected, comfortable and central. So you'll get amazing bedrooms, the latest technology, friendly hosts, great breakfasts and the absolute best city locations in every hotel, every time.

I was not expecting Every Hotel Piccadilly to be as central as it is, the day I arrived I walked closer to Leicester Square thinking I had gone to far before realising I was actually standing with the hotel behind me! Every Hotel Piccadilly in between Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. Whether you are sightseeing or heading out for the evening, you could not get a better location.

Check in was quick and easy, the staff were very helpful and gave me all the info I needed and explaining the fab extras included with your stay. I stayed in a deluxe room on the 5th floor, a room with the biggest bed I've ever seen, you could probably fit 8 people in in! The decor is modern with a sophisticated feel. I found it very calming and relaxing, something appreciated after a day on Oxford Street!

The room was huge, much bigger than I expected for a hotel so central. My room overlooked the Trocadero and M&M World but was still fairly quiet. The room had lots of space and a modern bathroom. I loved the walk in waterfall shower and bathrobes provided. I made myself at home very quickly, using the desk area as a make up station and spreading my beauty products over the bathroom counter!

The room has a 'smart tv' that you could sign in to your social media accounts on whilst using all sorts of apps. There were complimentary toiletries, a powerful hair dryer, ironing board and iron, and my two favourite features; a fridge full of complimentary soft drinks. (There is also a Nespresso machine for coffee lovers to help themselves too.) These features are usually added for a fee so it's great that they're included in your room at Every Hotel Piccadilly.

We were kindly invited for a drinks and dinner reception with management of the hotel. It was lovely to meet the team who were all so enthusiastic about the hotel and what they do. They were also full of advice for what to get up to in London that night! It was also amazing to meet the wonderful Laura from Tease Flutter Pout and catch up with Haydy from Squibb Vicious. Two fab bloggers you have to check out. I also have to mention the delicious breakfast the next morning, I reallllly love a hotel breakfast. There was a big selection of both hot and cold foods. I filled my plate up with hot food and devoured it all, seriously good!

The best thing about Every Hotel Piccadilly is how interactive the hotel is. There is complimentary wifi, which is incredibly fast. In the bar and restaurant you can control the music by using the Soundjack App (I enjoyed this far too much!) There are amazing touchscreens through out the hotel that you can use, whether to search for the nearest cocktail bar or in my case advertise your blog! The gym has free bottles of water and snazzy equipment that you can watch YouTube and use apps on.
Everything is focused on the guest and making their stay as comfortable as possible.

I absolutely loved my stay at Every Hotel Piccadilly and would 100% recommend it if you ever need a place to stay in central London. With deluxe rooms around £200 a night, for the location it's in it is also affordable. With brilliant technology and extras included, I really hope I go back soon!

Would you want to stay at Every Hotel Piccadilly?

outfit | a dream that you wish will come true

You are more than likely well aware that I'm just back from the most magical 5 days in Disneyland Paris. I'm currently experiencing extreme levels of 'post Disney depression' so please expect a lot of Disneyland Paris related content from me over the next few weeks/months/forever!

I honestly had the most magical trip, it was more than I ever could have imagined it would be.
I'm currently uploading daily vlogs to my YouTube Channel and there are a tonne of pictures from the trip up on my Instagram, which is @elliesteadman.

I thought I'd share with you my princess outfit from the dinner we attended at Auberge De Cendrillion in the Disneyland Park. My best friend Chelsea gifted me the most amazing experience of dinner with the princesses for my Christmas present and we had an incredible time. You'll see more from the meal in the vlog coming for that day soon, and I'll do a separate video talking about it as well.

When dining with royals you have to make a bit more of an effort than the standard Disney outfit of converse and jeans. I must say I did feel anxious about what I chose to wear simply because people did stare but I ended up being so pleased that I wore something different and all the Princesses loved it!

Review | Clarks Heeled Sandals

Clarks Susie Deva Black Combination Suede Sandals* £50

I was recently offered the chance to review a pair of shoes from Clarks and I have to say at first I was a little hesitant because I haven't been in the store since I got my last pair of school shoes! However I'm so glad I browsed the website because I found so many gorgeous shoes that I am now lusting after.

I am the girl that always wears flats. I struggle to walk properly in anything with a heel over 1inch, bad I know! With summer coming (hopefully) I knew I wanted to get a pair of heeled black sandals because they are shoes that go with absolutely everything. I went with the Susie Deva Combination Suede Sandals, I have something similar in tan that I got last summer and pretty much lived in.

The Susie Deva Sandals are a mix of soft suede and hi-shine patent. The suede strap and suede ankle strap is comfortable, soft and secure. The patent block heel has a height of 3inches making them perfect for all occasions. The design is simple and classic, definitely a shoe I am going to get a lot of wear out of. The sandals are really well made and definitely worth the money.

I wore these on a night out round London and I actually felt like I was wearing flats, no pain and completely easy to walk in! The shoes have 'CushionSoft' foam layers underfoot to give an extra comfy feel.

I was lucky enough to have a voucher to spend but I can honestly say I will be heading back to Clarks again and again to check out their gorgeous Women's range. I've already found three pairs that I think need to be added to my shoe collection.
Do you shop in Clarks?

Review | Mango Big Knot Bag

Mango Big Knot Bag* £39.99
You know how women are supposedly meant to like either shoes or handbags? Well I love both and have a tad obsession with finding beautiful and classic pieces that will last me years.
I was recently offered the chance to review a handbag from the House Of Fraser website and went with this lovely tan bag by Mango. Random fact for you, when I was tiny I couldn't say House Of Fraser so I used to call it the House of Raisins.

The Mango Big Knot Bag is a faux leather bag that comes in both black and a tan/medium brown shade. I went with the brown as I have my Michael Kors bag in black but did not already own a bag in tan. Tan is a classic shade to own in accessories and pretty much goes with everything.

The Big Knot Bag is a fairly large bag with a magnetic flap, where the knot detail, closure that snaps into place. It's a large and open style tote bag style with one inner pocket. I like this style of bag because I am very good at carrying a lot of stuff around with me and it means I can definitely fit it all inside. I can also fit my Macbook Pro inside easily.
The bag has two handles with thick straps, I love this because if I do end up carrying my life around with me it means the bag is easier to carry around. I also really like the 'winged' shape of the bag, it's different to anything else I own.

I really love the Big Knot Bag and it's already become a staple in my wardrobe that I know will last me a really long time. They do a cute mini version as well!

Barkbeats Box and Discount

We've all seen the huge collection of female focused subscription boxes that cover everything from beauty products to 'that time of the month', so when Barkbeats offered me the chance to review their box for dogs I jumped at the chance. I have a two year old cockapoo called Bertie and I don't know if it was him or me that was most excited to receive the Barkbeats box!

Barkbeats is a monthly subscription box that delivers toys, treats, essentials and more to your pup. There are three different types of boxes depending on your dogs size and also three different subscription lengths. The longer you subscribe for the cheaper the cost and you can cancel or pause your subscription at any time.

Each box contains 5/6 products suitable for your dogs size. In the February box we received:
-Good Boy Mini Bites: 100% natural chicken and cheese treats that are great as a training aid.
-Armitage Choc Drops: dog friendly chocolate buttons that are healthy and tasty for them.
-Pooch&Mutt Treats: natural, low calorie and gluten free bone shaped treats that are hand baked and chicken flavoured.
-Kong AirDog Football: a fun tennis ball style football shaped squeaky toy perfect for playing fetch.
-Aqruizoo Flasher: a bone shaped red flashing light that attaches to your dogs collar for walks in the dark.

The whole box was a massive success with Bertie, to be fair there is no food he would turn down but he loves all the treats included. The Aqruizoo Flashing Light is incredibly helpful for when I take Bertie out in the evenings and the Kong toy has become his new obsession.

For £5 off your first box use code ELLIE5
I'll definitely be ordering another box in the future to treat Bertie.
Would you treat your pup to a Barkbeats box?

Review | MAC Cinderella Happily Ever After Lipglass

Review of the MAC Cinderella Happily Ever After Lipglass

Review of the MAC Cinderella Happily Ever After Lipglass Review of the MAC Cinderella Happily Ever After Lipglass
Review of the MAC Cinderella Happily Ever After Lipglass

MAC Cinderella Lipglass in Happily Ever After* £16
Another day another beautiful piece from the MAC Cinderella collection! Like I've said all week I'm a big fan of this collection and always was going to be because of my Disney obsession and how much I love the Princesses! (If they do a Beauty and The Beast collection it will bankrupt me)

I adore the iridescent blue packaging of the MAC Cinderella collection and the names that all mach the fairytale story.  I personally think the packaging is a great fit for a Cinderella collection as it instantly reminds me of her beautiful blue and sparkly ball gown! I think it's incredibly 'Princessy' and a great fit for the movie, it's definitely a collection every Princess will want to have in her handbag.

There are two lipglasses in the collection, Glass Slipper and Happily Ever After. Glass Slipper is a peach gloss with light pink shimmer where as Happily Ever After is a light pink shade packed with blue shimmer. They are quite similar so I'd go with one or the other, from looking at other swatches Glass Slipper seems to have less shimmer and sparkle.

I'm not really a lipgloss kind of girl but I absolutely adore Happily Ever After because of it's jam packed blue and silver sparkle that matches the iridescent packaging and really catches the light. In the above picture I've layered a small amount over the Royal Ball lipstick, which you can read about here. I really like the combination of wearing them together for a soft pink but still sparkly and Princess like look!

The lipglass has a slightly milky tone when worn on it's own so I do prefer to wear it layered over a lipstick, it won't wash you out unless you are very pale but I just prefer it over the top of something else. Happily Ever After lasts around and 3 hours before the gloss fades leaving a slight shimmer behind. I don't think it's an overly sticky formula, it feels slightly more tacky and more moisturising than a standard lip gloss.

The Happily Ever After Lipglass costs £16.
The MAC Cinderella collection launches on the MAC website and in Harrods on the 6th of March. It will be available elsewhere from the 13th of March. It's a guaranteed sell out!

Will you be picking up anything from the MAC Cinderella collection?

Review | MAC Cinderella Royal Ball Lipstick

Review of the MAC Cinderella Royal Ball Lipstick
MAC Cinderella Royal Ball Lipstick £17*

When MAC announced their Cinderella collection it's safe to say I was very, very excited. It's a collection that is dividing opinions of beauty lovers and Disney fans but I really do like the whole colour collection. I knew I would be and I'm first to admit I am biased because if you stick the Disney logo on something I'm pretty much guaranteed to buy it.

I adore the iridescent blue packaging of the collection and the Royal Ball lipstick. I personally think it is a great fit for a Cinderella collection as it instantly reminds me of her beautiful blue and sparkly ball gown! I think it's incredibly 'Princessy' and a great fit for the movie.

There are two lipsticks in the collection, Free As A Butterfly and Royal Ball. Free As A Butterfly is a more golden nude shade where as Royal Ball is a rose pink shade. Both lipsticks have 'Lustre' finishes, a finish in MAC lipsticks that I hadn't tried before.

Royal Ball is a fleshy toned rose pink that is quite warmed tone on a skin swatch but is going to look very different on the lips depending on your skin tone. On me it's a soft nude pink and I am very pale. It does have an ever so slightly frosty finish but not to much to put me off wearing it.
Royal Ball is quite sheer but does apply fairly evenly, you can build up the intensity to get a more opaque finish as long as you've buffed off any dead skin and prepped with a good lip balm.
It lasts around three hours before it needs to be reapplied. It's a great everyday shade that's easy to wear but not something I'd pick if I wanted a long lasting or more pigmented lipstick.

I'd prefer Royal Ball if it had a Creme Sheen or Amplified finish, but I think Lustre is probably the best finish with the idea of a 'Cinderella' lipstick in mind as she is quite neutral and soft on the make up front.

The Royal Ball Lipstick costs £17, £1.50 more than a standard MAC lipstick but you're paying for the packaging and Cinderella/Disney logos!
The MAC Cinderella collection launches on the MAC website and in Harrods on the 6th of March. It will be available elsewhere from the 13th of March. It's a guaranteed sell out!

Review | MAC Cinderella 'Stroke Of Midnight' Palette

Review of the MAC Cinderella 'Stroke Of Midnight' Palette Review of the MAC Cinderella 'Stroke Of Midnight' Palette Review of the MAC Cinderella 'Stroke Of Midnight' Palette

MAC Cinderella 'Stroke Of Midnight' Palette* £38.50

When MAC announced their Cinderella collection it's safe to say I was very, very excited. It's a collection that is dividing opinions of beauty lovers and Disney fans but I am completely in love with the whole range. I knew I would be and I'm first to admit I am biased because if you stick the Disney logo on something I'm pretty much guaranteed to buy it.

I adore the iridescent blue packaging of the Stroke Of Midnight Palette, I personally think it is a great fit for a Cinderella collection as it instantly reminds me of her beautiful blue and sparkly ball gown! I think it's incredibly 'Princessy' and a great fit for the movie.

The Stroke of Midnight Palette contains six beautiful neutral eye shadows that I am just obsessed with. 5 of the 6 shadows are permanent in the MAC range. The palette is very grown up and perfect for a neutrals or smokey eye lover. It features the sort of shadows I could definitely imagine Cinderella keeping in her make up bag!

Vapour- A peach-pink with violet pearl with a velvet finish.
Phloof!- A frosted off white with a frost finish.
Omega- A soft muted beige-taupe with a matte finish.
Quarry- A soft muted plum-brown with a matte finish.
Satin Taupe- A taupe with silver shimmer and a frost finish.
Stroke Of Midnight- A warm black plum with sparkle pearl and a velvet finish. (exclusive to this palette)

I absolutely love the shadows included in the Stroke Of Midnight Palette. I know for some people the fact 5 of the shades are permanent MAC shadows is an issue. I personally only owned Satin Taupe before, which is actually my most used MAC shadow so I'm quite happy to have a back up!

I'm a massive fan of the MAC eyeshadow formula. I find all the shades to have a soft and buttery texture, are easy to apply and blend, as well as lasting for around 8 hours on me without a primer. The shadows are well pigmented, although the lighter shades can be slightly harder to build up. I am really impressed with the quality and it's introduced me to 4 new shadows I will definitely pick up when I eventually work my way through this palette.

All I can really say is this palette makes me want to dance round the room singing 'so this is love'...

The Stroke Of Midnight palette retails for £38.50, a good price if you think a MAC shadow costs £10 for the loose refill.
The MAC Cinderella collection launches on the MAC website and in Harrods on the 6th of March. It will be available elsewhere from the 13th of March. It's a guaranteed sell out!
