Fleur De Force Make Up Collection

Fleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection Review

Lipglosses £6.99
Eyeshadow Quads £7.99
Make Up Bag £8.99

One of the first YouTubers I ever came across was the lovely Fleur from Fleur De Force. Since discovering Fleur she has stayed one of favourites and was actually one of the bloggers that inspired me to start my own blog and YouTube Channel.
You can probably imagine how excited I was when I received an invite to the launch of Fleur's new beauty line. Fleur has been killing it this year with the launch of her book The Glam Guide and an eyelash range with Eyelure. The launch of Fleur De Force Beauty is brilliant and I am so excited to share the collection with you after meeting the lovely lady herself and hearing her love for the products.

Fleur's first make up collection is exclusive to and features a cute make up bag, two eye shadow quads and six lipgloss shades. The range is themed around Fleur's love of stars and her gorgeous pastel/water colour branding.
I absolutely adore the make up bag, it has the most beautiful design with pastel colour and rose gold details. I like that it has poppers so you can expand the bag, if like me you have a habit of carrying too much stuff!

I have the eye shadow quad in Luna Rose, a rose gold toned quad that is right up my street. The four shades include a matte soft pink, a metallic rose gold, a shimmery ivory with a hint of pink and a mauve with hints of gold. I used to be scared of these tones of shadows as I am very pale but I actually really enjoy wearing them. I love that all the shadows in this quad work well together easily and that you can get quite a few different looks out of it.
The shadows are soft, pigmented and easy to blend. A really great quality and affordable product.

I love wearing lipstick and actually feel a bit funny without it, however I'm not the biggest fan of glosses because I hate that sticky feeling most have. Fleur's range includes six shades from neutral pink to your traditional reds, there is a shade for everyone!
I have the shades Written In The Stars, a neutral pink which is slightly darker than my own lip colour, and Lucky Star, which is a blue toned red.

The glosses actually feel really nice and aren't that sticky. I think it's impossible for a gloss not to have that texture but these aren't tacky feeling or a magnet for your hair to stick to.
The pigmentation is great and you only need one application for an opaque finish. The glosses have a sweet scent and wear off nicely after about four hours.

I really am impressed with Fleur's first make up collection and really hope she expands it!
It's very affordable, very cute and the products are great quality.
Have you tried any of the Fleur De Force make up range?

Review | MAC Cinderella Happily Ever After Lipglass

Review of the MAC Cinderella Happily Ever After Lipglass

Review of the MAC Cinderella Happily Ever After Lipglass

MAC Cinderella Lipglass in Happily Ever After* £16
Another day another beautiful piece from the MAC Cinderella collection! Like I've said all week I'm a big fan of this collection and always was going to be because of my Disney obsession and how much I love the Princesses! (If they do a Beauty and The Beast collection it will bankrupt me)

I adore the iridescent blue packaging of the MAC Cinderella collection and the names that all mach the fairytale story.  I personally think the packaging is a great fit for a Cinderella collection as it instantly reminds me of her beautiful blue and sparkly ball gown! I think it's incredibly 'Princessy' and a great fit for the movie, it's definitely a collection every Princess will want to have in her handbag.

There are two lipglasses in the collection, Glass Slipper and Happily Ever After. Glass Slipper is a peach gloss with light pink shimmer where as Happily Ever After is a light pink shade packed with blue shimmer. They are quite similar so I'd go with one or the other, from looking at other swatches Glass Slipper seems to have less shimmer and sparkle.

I'm not really a lipgloss kind of girl but I absolutely adore Happily Ever After because of it's jam packed blue and silver sparkle that matches the iridescent packaging and really catches the light. In the above picture I've layered a small amount over the Royal Ball lipstick, which you can read about here. I really like the combination of wearing them together for a soft pink but still sparkly and Princess like look!

The lipglass has a slightly milky tone when worn on it's own so I do prefer to wear it layered over a lipstick, it won't wash you out unless you are very pale but I just prefer it over the top of something else. Happily Ever After lasts around and 3 hours before the gloss fades leaving a slight shimmer behind. I don't think it's an overly sticky formula, it feels slightly more tacky and more moisturising than a standard lip gloss.

The Happily Ever After Lipglass costs £16.
The MAC Cinderella collection launches on the MAC website and in Harrods on the 6th of March. It will be available elsewhere from the 13th of March. It's a guaranteed sell out!

Will you be picking up anything from the MAC Cinderella collection?

Review | Barry M Surprise Surprise Lipgloss

Barry M Surprise Surprise Lipgloss £4.49

If you watch Surprise Surprise then you probably saw the episode featuring the amazing Holly Addison. I missed the epsiode but have since watched it back and after hearing about Holly and what's she achieved I urge you all to make sure you pick up one of these lipglosses to support an awesome cause!

Holly has raised over £7000 in 18 months for charities including the Katherine House Hospice where Holly's Dad stayed whilst being treated for an aggressive form of brain cancer. As part of Holly's Surprise Surprise experience she has teamed up with Barry M to create a limited edition lipgloss where 70% of the proceeds go straight to the Katherine House Hospice.

The lipgloss is called Holly A's Surprise Surprise Lipgloss and is only around for a limited period so make sure you get your hands on one. The gloss is a pale and milky pink with a gold shimmer that doesn't really show to much on the lips. It's a lovely nude shade that might not suit everyone when worn alone but paired with a lipstick it's gorgeous. I team this with MAC Creme Cup, my go to daily lipstick, for a perfect nude lip. The scent (and taste) is a yummy strawberry and mango mix, which reminds me of sherbet sweets. It's easy to apply with the doe foot applicator and the formula isn't too sticky.

I'm not a huge gloss fan but have been reaching for this a lot. The fact it looks great paired with my every day lipstick means I've used it a lot and actually ended up really liking it. It does fade over a couple of hours but it's so easy to top up that it's not a problem.

Loosing a parent at a young age is one of the worst pains you can experience, to me Holly is a huge inspiration as she's been through a difficult thing and done something special by raising a fab amount of money that's only going to rise with this brilliant collaboration.

Make sure you pick up the Surprise Surprise Lipgloss whilst it's around for the next few months.

Review | Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain

 Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain
Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain* in Parisian Passion, Barcelona Nights, Rio Rush and Stockholm Chic £7.99 each

The beauty world has been full of lipstick/lipgloss hybrids with every brand bringing out their own version. I've never been a lipgloss fan (hair stuck to lips etc) but I really am loving these sort of products that apply like a gloss with the pigmentation of a lipstick and dry to leave a stain.

The Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain range has 12 shades with each one named after a fashionable city with the shade created to match it. I had the best time at the launch event going round with my special passport collecting stamps from each city and having a swatch of the corresponding Moisture Stain shade.

The packaging is very sleek and sophisticated. I think it looks and feels much more expensive than it is and I want to own all the range of so I can display them neatly in my storage, yep I am that sad but the way they look just brings me a lot of joy! The applicator is your typical doe-foot , which makes it quite easy to apply the stain precisely.

The Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains have a unique texture that is unlike any other product of it's type that I've tried. The texture is gel like and cooling, it takes a bit of time to get used to and make sure it's perfectly applied. If you prefer a sheerer colour then you'll be good to go with one coat but two gives you a completely opaque look with a glossy creme finish that isn't sticky and a magnet for hair on a windy day. They are comfortable to wear and feel almost like a gel lip balm.

My favourite thing about these is that they last, after about 3 hours the gloss fades leaving the stain behind that won't budge. I removed the swatches off my arm after ten minutes and you can see above the stains they left behind!

It might take a couple of wears to get used to the texture and feel but if you like this sort of product then you'll probably love these. I'm definitely going to be extending my shade collection.

The Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains are £7.99 each.

Review | Gosh Lip Lacquers

Gosh Lip Lacquer ReviewGosh Lip Lacquer ReviewGosh Lip Lacquer ReviewGosh Lip Lacquer Review
Gosh Lip Lacquers* £5.99

L-R Hot Lips, Dangerous Lips, Crispy Lips, Sweet Lips, Flirty Lips

I recently attended the Gosh SS14 event to see all the lovely new products that are available to buy now! I will be featuring all the new launches over the next few weeks, the first thing to catch my eye was the Gosh Lip Lacquers. I'm a lip lacquer self confessed addict so any new take on that sort of product always excites me.

It's definitely best not to keep the Gosh Lip Lacquers near your nail varnish stash as things could go very wrong! The packaging is supposed to reflect a glossy manicure for the lips. I'm not really sure where I stand on the packaging, it's definitely different for a lip lacquer and looks cute, the applicator is much smaller so can be a bit fiddly but you get used to it quickly.

The lacquers are enriched with argan oil and vitamin E so are really hydrating and softening. They have the glossiest finish from any lacquer type product I've tried, they can be slightly sticky but nothing I can't deal with (I tend to avoid lip gloss because of it's stickiness!) Some shades are very pigmented and some sheer.

I really like the colour and pigmentation of Hot Lips, Dangerous Lips and Crispy Lips (I think something went wrong in the naming here!) The darker shades have better colour pay off however it takes a little longer to get an even application. If you prefer a sheerer colour then Sweet Lips and Flirty Lips give a really subtle tint of glossy and are much quicker to apply evenly.
The darker shades last around 3-4 hours before fading to stain and needing topping up. The sheerer shades aren't noticeable on me after about 2 hours.

The Gosh Lip Lacquers aren't game changing but I think they are a really great thing to keep on hand because of how small they are and how lightweight they are on the lips, plus they smell nice and fruity.
If you are a gloss lover then they are worth checking out. Available here and in Superdrug stores.
What do you think of the Gosh Lip Lacquers?

Review | MUA Love Heart Lip Balm

I have never purchased anything from the MUA range at Superdrug, the cheap prices have strangely always put me off. However their latest collaboration with Love Hearts has had me intrigued.

The Love Hearts range includes nail polishes and lip balms both priced at £2. I already own nail varnishes in similar colours to this range so decided to try the lip balm.

I picked the lip balm 'Sweet Kiss'. I think the packaging is so sweet, and the pot is a decent size for the price of £2.

The colour in the pot looks pale and baby pink. It smells deliciously of vanilla as well so its difficult not too lick your lips when it is on!

My lips above are natural. They are a soft pink anyway so thought this balm would add a nice gloss.

With the lip balm on it does not look like there is much colour difference however my lips were shinier and had a fairly softer pink tint too them.

I was disappointed with the colour of this lip balm as for me it has not added much colour, however the balm has stayed on well for a good few hours and seems to be fairly moisturising. I like the smell and packaging of the lip balm and will buy another balm in a stronger colour, either Kiss Me or Hot Lips to see if I just picked the wrong shade for me. But for £2 you cant really complain!

Much love xx
