Fleur De Force Make Up Collection

Fleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection ReviewFleur De Force Beauty Collection Review

Lipglosses £6.99
Eyeshadow Quads £7.99
Make Up Bag £8.99

One of the first YouTubers I ever came across was the lovely Fleur from Fleur De Force. Since discovering Fleur she has stayed one of favourites and was actually one of the bloggers that inspired me to start my own blog and YouTube Channel.
You can probably imagine how excited I was when I received an invite to the launch of Fleur's new beauty line. Fleur has been killing it this year with the launch of her book The Glam Guide and an eyelash range with Eyelure. The launch of Fleur De Force Beauty is brilliant and I am so excited to share the collection with you after meeting the lovely lady herself and hearing her love for the products.

Fleur's first make up collection is exclusive to and features a cute make up bag, two eye shadow quads and six lipgloss shades. The range is themed around Fleur's love of stars and her gorgeous pastel/water colour branding.
I absolutely adore the make up bag, it has the most beautiful design with pastel colour and rose gold details. I like that it has poppers so you can expand the bag, if like me you have a habit of carrying too much stuff!

I have the eye shadow quad in Luna Rose, a rose gold toned quad that is right up my street. The four shades include a matte soft pink, a metallic rose gold, a shimmery ivory with a hint of pink and a mauve with hints of gold. I used to be scared of these tones of shadows as I am very pale but I actually really enjoy wearing them. I love that all the shadows in this quad work well together easily and that you can get quite a few different looks out of it.
The shadows are soft, pigmented and easy to blend. A really great quality and affordable product.

I love wearing lipstick and actually feel a bit funny without it, however I'm not the biggest fan of glosses because I hate that sticky feeling most have. Fleur's range includes six shades from neutral pink to your traditional reds, there is a shade for everyone!
I have the shades Written In The Stars, a neutral pink which is slightly darker than my own lip colour, and Lucky Star, which is a blue toned red.

The glosses actually feel really nice and aren't that sticky. I think it's impossible for a gloss not to have that texture but these aren't tacky feeling or a magnet for your hair to stick to.
The pigmentation is great and you only need one application for an opaque finish. The glosses have a sweet scent and wear off nicely after about four hours.

I really am impressed with Fleur's first make up collection and really hope she expands it!
It's very affordable, very cute and the products are great quality.
Have you tried any of the Fleur De Force make up range?

My Everyday Make Up Routine

I recently finally filmed my everyday make up routine for my YouTube Channel. Honestly it was a very scary video to film, putting yourself on the internet with absolutely no make up on can be a tad daunting when you aren't the most comfortable in your skin.
However I kind of enjoyed filming and sharing my 'routine' with you and hope you like watching!

You can watch online here, and it would mean the world if you could subscribe to my Channel!

Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadow in Aquatic Rose £19

The summer weather is on the way (I hope) and with the promise of warmer days and longer nights come the limited edition launches from beauty brands for summer 2015! I always love the Clarins limited collections and this year's 'Aquatic Treasures' theme has not let me down. The collection is full of easy to wear products that will give you that bronzed goddess look we all long for!I have been lusting after a few pieces from the collection, next on my list is the bronzer, but my priority was this gorgeous Ombre Shadow and not just because of the beautiful packaging.

I am already a huge fan of the Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadows and when I spotted the limited edition Aquatic Rose shade I knew it was going to be mine! I've talked about my love for all things rose gold hundreds of times before, so Aquatic Rose could not be more up my street if it tried.
I absolutely love the packaging, it's very simple but I love the rose gold lid. The original Ombre shadows have the Clarins gold lids but the two in the Aquatic Treasures collection have lids that correspond with the shadow shade, which I think is fab!

The Aquatic Rose Ombre Shadow had a cream to powder formula that stays put all day on me without fading or creasing. If you have oily eyes you'll love the long lasting formula of these and if you have drier eyes then you will love the cream texture. The shadow is incredibly pigmented, the above swatch is just one swipe of the product. The creamy texture makes the shadow really easy to apply either with brushes or fingers, I use a more compact brush to apply the shadow and then my MAC 217 to blend. The tiniest amount goes a really long way so this little gem is going to last me a very long time.

I absolutely love the rose golden bronze shade of Aquatic Rose. I usually apply a few different shadows but for the past week I've been using just this because I love the colour so much. It's a shimmery golden bronze shade with a hint of pink. If you are also a rose gold fan then you definitely need to get yourself down to a Clarins counter and snap one of these up before they are gone for good! The

Have you picked up anything from the Clarins Aquatic Treasures collection?
The Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadow in Aquatic Rose is £19 available online and at counters for a limited time.

Review | Barry M Surprise Surprise Lipgloss

Barry M Surprise Surprise Lipgloss £4.49

If you watch Surprise Surprise then you probably saw the episode featuring the amazing Holly Addison. I missed the epsiode but have since watched it back and after hearing about Holly and what's she achieved I urge you all to make sure you pick up one of these lipglosses to support an awesome cause!

Holly has raised over £7000 in 18 months for charities including the Katherine House Hospice where Holly's Dad stayed whilst being treated for an aggressive form of brain cancer. As part of Holly's Surprise Surprise experience she has teamed up with Barry M to create a limited edition lipgloss where 70% of the proceeds go straight to the Katherine House Hospice.

The lipgloss is called Holly A's Surprise Surprise Lipgloss and is only around for a limited period so make sure you get your hands on one. The gloss is a pale and milky pink with a gold shimmer that doesn't really show to much on the lips. It's a lovely nude shade that might not suit everyone when worn alone but paired with a lipstick it's gorgeous. I team this with MAC Creme Cup, my go to daily lipstick, for a perfect nude lip. The scent (and taste) is a yummy strawberry and mango mix, which reminds me of sherbet sweets. It's easy to apply with the doe foot applicator and the formula isn't too sticky.

I'm not a huge gloss fan but have been reaching for this a lot. The fact it looks great paired with my every day lipstick means I've used it a lot and actually ended up really liking it. It does fade over a couple of hours but it's so easy to top up that it's not a problem.

Loosing a parent at a young age is one of the worst pains you can experience, to me Holly is a huge inspiration as she's been through a difficult thing and done something special by raising a fab amount of money that's only going to rise with this brilliant collaboration.

Make sure you pick up the Surprise Surprise Lipgloss whilst it's around for the next few months.

Review | Gosh Eye Shadow Sticks

GOSH Forever Eye Shadow Sticks* £5.99 each
L-R Shades: Brown, Light Copper, Silver Rose and Grey

I love the easiness of a eye shadow stick, they are quick to apply, blend easily and usually give the allusion that you've spent a whole lot more time on your  make up than you really have. Pretty much every beauty brand on the market has brought out their own versions of an eye shadow stick with GOSH adding them to their range earlier this year. In total there are 8 different shades to choose from each costing £5.99.

The GOSH sticks are twist up pencils that are very pigmented and have a metallic and shimmer finish. They aren't the creamiest formula but when warmed up they do become slightly more easy to work with. The most impressive thing about the GOSH sticks are that they don't really budge once they've set. You have about 20 seconds to blend the product out how you like it before it's set and isn't going to move. The formula claims to be water resistant and has siliconic filming polymers and amino acids so that it won't rub off.

I prefer wearing these on there own without powder shadows as I don't think the shadow stick takes to well to other products layered on top. My favourite way to wear the GOSH Shadow Sticks is to apply a light layer and blend out for an easy every day shimmery look. Silver Rose is my favourite shade from the bunch!

I do like these but I don't feel like they are overly different to any other shadow sticks on the high street, but if you need a long lasting colour then I'd say definitely give these a go. Once applied in the morning they really don't go anywhere!

The GOSH Forever Eye Shadow Sticks are £5,99 each available here.

Review | British Beauty Blogger Eye Pencil Kit

British Beauty Blogger Eye Pencil Kit
British Beauty Blogger Eye Pencil Kit

British Beauty Blogger Eye Pencil Kit
British Beauty Blogger Eye Pencil Kit* £15.00

Blogger and YouTuber collections have sprung up everywhere this year and each time a new one is announced I feel incredibly proud that we live in a world where "internet people" are able to have their own beauty lines, books etc. The collaboration that has had me most excited this year is the British Beauty Blogger collaboration with Marks & Spencer.

Jane from British Beauty Blogger is a lady I admired long before I started my own blog. She is always first with beauty news, honest in her reviews and not afraid to say what she truly thinks. One of my favourite things about Jane is that she supports and champions the blogging industry, she's come from beauty journalism through to blogging so seriously knows her stuff. I met her for the first time over a year ago and was a tiny bit starstruck and thrilled that I was meeting one of my 'blogging idols'. She's an amazing woman so I'm over the moon that one of the biggest British brands has teamed up with her to launch a limited edition make up collection.

Jane and M&S worked with illustrator Nuno da Costa, the man behind Jane's blog header, to create a collection with beautiful packaing that would appeal to every woman. I love how the packaging of the Eye Pencil Kit is so simple but so striking! The Eye Pencil Kit contains 8 kohl pencils in a mixture of finishes and shades, there is definitely a pencil for every occasion.
The shades include a matte black, shimmer mint green, a bronze plum mix, matte grey, shimmer turqouise, black with glitter, a shimmer/metallic lilac and a matte navy.

The shades I'm not sure on are the mint, lilac and turqouise because I'm not brave enough but I'll be giving them a go in the summer time. The pencils are very pigmented and easy to work with. The texture is great as they aren't to hard that they drag or to soft that they smudge all over the place, they blend really well and are fab for a quick smokey eye. My favourite shades are the matte black, something I use almost every day, and the bronze plum shade as it's a gorgeous colour that I didn't have anything like already.

The Eye Pencil Kit retails at £15 for 8 pencils, a complete bargain that you definitely shouldn't miss out on.
It's currently on offer for an amazing price of £7.50, I've already bought another to give as a Christmas present!

If you're interested in the BBB collection make sure to be quick as it's only around for a limited time!

Review | Benefit Majorette Blush

Benefit Majorette Blush
Benefit Majorette Blush

Benefit Majorette Blush

Benefit Majorette Blush
 Benefit Majorette Blush* £23.50

Whenever a new Benefit product launches you can feel the excitement in the blogging world and the buzz for this product was pretty huge! Benefit's newest addition to their make up range is Majorette, a 'Booster Blush' with a cream to powder finish. This is Benefit's first cream blush and actually the first of their blushes I've tried. I'm not great with blush and have only this year started to wear it daily since trying out cream textures and finding they work much better for my dry skin and tend to look more natural.

The packaging for Majorette is a super cute marching band theme shaped like a tambourine. It's lightweight, compact and has a good sized mirror inside. I love it's magnetic closure as it makes that satisfying sound when it closes! The blush itself is dome shaped and has a pretty sun pattern printed onto it. Before I even noticed Majorette's shade I was drawn to it's gorgeous citrus scent, it doesn't seem to transfer to skin but I'd probably avoid if you're not a fan of scented products.

Majorette is a bold orange shade in the pan but is a softer peachy coral shade when applied that I think would suit all skin tones. On my super pale skin it adds a subtle warm colour that could be built up to be more intense in shade but I like my blush to be subtle. It applies really smooth with the cream texture but dries to a powder finish meaning it lasts longer. It's a really light formula that's so easy to apply and work with. It melts into the skin when applied with fingers but looks lovely if you use a stippling brush too.

Benefit created Majorette as a 'Booster Blush' that can be worn under another blush to 'boost' the colour and longevity. I prefer to wear Majorette on it's own for a natural blush but if you do prefer a bolder colour this might be great for you! I have tried using this as a Booster Blush and it definitely works to deepen the effect of the second blush and make sure it lasts all day. When I wear Majorette on it's own it lasts around 8 hours.

As a natural peachy shade or used to boost other blushes, I'm a big fan of Majorette. It's pricey but worth it for the cute packaging, quality and cheer it brings!
Do you like the look of Majorette?

Review | Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette in Forest

Clarins Eye Quarter Mineral Palette in Forest £32

Every girl deserves a bit of luxury right? That's what I told myself when I ordered the Clarins Quartet in Forest. The Forest quartet was introduced as part of last years Autumn collection but added to the permanent range, a great decision as it's lovely!

The Clarins packaging is beautifully presented with weighty gold casing that feels luxurious and classic. It's made it's way into my MUJI storage on top of my dressing table so I can see it even if I'm not using it. Product packaging is definitely a weakness of mine! The Quartet comes with a red velvet pouch and there is also a big mirror inside the compact. It comes with two foam applicators that I've chucked as I never use them.

To me Forest is a perfect all year round palette but especially great as we go into the colder months (currently writing this under two duvets!) I was a bit unsure about this because of the khaki shade as I've never used a green eye shadow before but it's actually really nice.

Shade 1- a khaki green with a satin finish and only a tiny amount of shimmer, it has a hint of brown making it less of an intense green and very wearable
Shade 2- a light beige cream that is packed with shimmer, it's not overly pigmented but lovely for a sheer colour or for adding some sparkle
Shade 3- a bit of a complex shadow as it looks black but has both green and brown undertones with flecks of gold glitter
Shade 4- a taupe shade with warm brown tones too it and hints of golds shimmer, satin finish

Apart from the second shade all the shadows are very pigmented, they are all creamy soft and easy to blend. They can be applied both dry and wet if you like a more intense colour pay off. There is a small amount of shimmer fall down when applying the shadows dry but it can be easily fixed or avoided if you do your eye make up before your base. The shadows last around 8 hours on me without a primer.

I love this a lot and although it's pricey I think it's worth it for a little bit of luxury and great quality.

Boots Beauty Haul

Yesterday I 'fell' into Boots, this lot 'fell' in my basket and my card 'fell' in the machine. £48 later, I had a tiny amount of regret but this lot should have cost around £80 and I got triple Boots points so really it was a bargain (justification!)
There were quite a offers on across most brands so I decided to pick up a few bits I'd wanted to try for a while and a couple of new releases. I think some of the offers are different in stores and online but if there is anything you are longing to try out now may be a good time, not that I'm an enabler!

I only went in for a couple more of the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains after featuring them here and loving them. I went for Miami Fever and LA Exclusive, if you haven't tried these yet definitely go have a swatch as the shade range is lovely! Revlon eyes, lips and nails were buy one get one half price.

Soap & Glory was also buy one get one half price. I swatched the Supercat Eyeliner Pen and it was very pigmented so it went in the basket. After the hype I've wanted to try the Archery Brow Tint and Pencil but it was sold out, I went with the Archery Pencil and Brush. I've never used an eyebrow pencil but I'll definitely keep an eye out for the Archery Tint too.

Seventeen was buy one get one half price and I'd been meaning to pick up the Phwoarr Paint Concealer (cringy name) as I've heard good reviews and comparisons to Benefit Erase Paste. I wasn't too sure what other product to go for so went for the Skin Wow Highlighter that says it can be used as a primer but I'll probably stick with using this as a liquid highlighter.

L'Oreal, also buy one get one half price, was my last stop and they had a lovely woman on counter as a brand ambassador. I needed a new matte bronzer and saw the Glam Bronze duo with a highlighter. I haven't bought a new foundation in ages and loved the rose gold bottle of the Lumi Magique. It's a light infusing and hydrating foundation that I'm really looking forward to trying.
The L'Oreal ambassador kindly gave me a Dress Like Diamonds gift set which they used as a Christmas offer which had a full size mascara, lipstick and nail polish along with a moisturiser sample and two sachets of BB creams.

It's safe to say I'll be staying away from the shops for a while!
If there are any products you'd like me to do a full post on please let me know in the comments.
Have you splurged on any beauty bits lately?

Review | Benefit the POREfessional

Review | Benefit the POREfessionalReview | Benefit the POREfessional
Review | Benefit the POREfessional
Review | Benefit the POREfessional
 Benefit POREfessional Primer £24.50

Why I've never talked about this before I've no clue, this is my third tube of the stuff! You probably know by now how much of a Benefit fan I am and I'm warning you now this is a big love of mine! POREfessional is the top selling primer in the UK, has won multiple awards and is probably one of the most hyped up Benefit products.

POREfessional is designed to minimise the appearance of pores and fine lines to leave skin smoother and a better base for make up. Its a really light weight formula with a silky balm feel. It's translucent so can be worn alone or under make up to smooth out the skin. It's so silky and smooth, it blends easily into the skin and has a powdery finish.

I don't use primers all over daily but using POREfessional is now an essential part of my everyday routine on the areas that need smoothing out! I like to lightly tap this onto and around my nose where those lovely pores live. This isn't one for applying everywhere, only where needed. I personally think the results it gives are impressive, it blurs and softens leaving my skin incredibly smooth. It fills in most of the fine lines and pores as well as creating a better base for foundation, it doesn't clog the skin and leaves the softest finish. Benefit also recommend using POREfessional for touch up's during the day however for me this doesn't work to well over the top of make up. It doesn't make pores disappear but it definitely helps to soften the appearance.

It's pricey at £24.50 but I use so little each time that it lasts me ages. It's genuinely one of those products I can't imagine not having and I will keep repurchasing it forever!
What do you think of POREfessional?

Review | Gosh Lip Lacquers

Gosh Lip Lacquer ReviewGosh Lip Lacquer ReviewGosh Lip Lacquer ReviewGosh Lip Lacquer Review
Gosh Lip Lacquers* £5.99

L-R Hot Lips, Dangerous Lips, Crispy Lips, Sweet Lips, Flirty Lips

I recently attended the Gosh SS14 event to see all the lovely new products that are available to buy now! I will be featuring all the new launches over the next few weeks, the first thing to catch my eye was the Gosh Lip Lacquers. I'm a lip lacquer self confessed addict so any new take on that sort of product always excites me.

It's definitely best not to keep the Gosh Lip Lacquers near your nail varnish stash as things could go very wrong! The packaging is supposed to reflect a glossy manicure for the lips. I'm not really sure where I stand on the packaging, it's definitely different for a lip lacquer and looks cute, the applicator is much smaller so can be a bit fiddly but you get used to it quickly.

The lacquers are enriched with argan oil and vitamin E so are really hydrating and softening. They have the glossiest finish from any lacquer type product I've tried, they can be slightly sticky but nothing I can't deal with (I tend to avoid lip gloss because of it's stickiness!) Some shades are very pigmented and some sheer.

I really like the colour and pigmentation of Hot Lips, Dangerous Lips and Crispy Lips (I think something went wrong in the naming here!) The darker shades have better colour pay off however it takes a little longer to get an even application. If you prefer a sheerer colour then Sweet Lips and Flirty Lips give a really subtle tint of glossy and are much quicker to apply evenly.
The darker shades last around 3-4 hours before fading to stain and needing topping up. The sheerer shades aren't noticeable on me after about 2 hours.

The Gosh Lip Lacquers aren't game changing but I think they are a really great thing to keep on hand because of how small they are and how lightweight they are on the lips, plus they smell nice and fruity.
If you are a gloss lover then they are worth checking out. Available here and in Superdrug stores.
What do you think of the Gosh Lip Lacquers?
